			En Lausanne (Suiza) con ACE FREHLEY, de KISS (18 Junio, 1995), en una convención de enfermos. Momentos después de firmarme mi copia del libro "Kisstory". Para los profanos, el fulano de mi camiseta es ACE con sus pinturas de guerra (Más información en el "Museo". In Lausanne (Switzerland), with ACE FREHLEY (June 18th, `95), in a KISS Konvention. Losts of sick people there, let me tell you. The picture was taken after he signed my copy of the "Kisstory" book. For those unaware, the guy on my shirt is ACE with his war-paint. Ojo a esta instantanea: Los dos hombres más sexys del mundo... ¡en la misma foto! La gente dice que DAVID BECKHAM es muy simpático y tal, pero la verdad es que ese día estaba bastante borde, por no decir algo más grueso. La corbata ha sido manupulada en Photoshop para no dar pistas.

Check this one out! The two sexiest men alive...in the same picture!! People say DAVID BECKHAM is very nice and shy, but that day, to be honest, he was rude and unpolite, to say the least. Anyway, there you have Becks dealing with an ordinary human...



			En Madrid con ERIC SINGER, en una (otra) convención de fans de KISS (6 Junio, 1998). Este individuo ha tocado con Black Sabbath, Paul Stanley, Badlands, Alice Cooper y mil más. Durante una temporada fue el batería fijo de KISS: luego ha estado entrando y saliendo del grupo, a gusto de Gene Simmons, que ejerce de su explotador y que decidió inclusó cederle el maquillaje del batería original Peter Criss, cosa que no moló nada, pero nada. Eso sí, me encanta cómo toca (la batería) In Madrid with ERIC SINGER at a (yet) another KISS Konvention (June 6th, `98). This guy has played for Black Sabbath, Paul Stanley, Badlands, Alice Cooper, and hundreds more. There was a time when he was in KiISS as a steady member. Then he started to leave and return as Gene Simmons, the employer, demanded. He was even put Peter Criss´ make up, which was very, and I mean very, uncool. By the way, I love his drumming.

Conocí a HEATHER THOMPSON tras el concierto que dió su grupo, Tapping The Vein, en Madrid teloneando a Paradise Lost y Within Temptation (16 marzo, 2003). Meses más tarde, tras otro concierto de Paradise Lost en Madrid, volvimos a encontrarnos. Si tenemos en cuenta que también ejerce de corista en el disco de Paradise Lost "Paradiselost", queda claro que aquí hay tomate...

I met HEATHER THOMPSON after a show her band (Tapping The Vein) gave opening for Paradise Lost and Within Temptation (March 16, `03). Months after that, we met again at another Paradise Lost show in Madrid. She also did background vocals in the Paradise Lost cd "Paradiselost", so that clearly tells you there´s something funny going on here...



			A mi no me gusta el rap. No me ha gustado nunca, y probablemente nunca me gustará. Pero tengo ue reconocer que FLAVOR FLAV es todo un personaje. Nos lo encontramos en Rio de Janeiro...¡Dos días distintos! Muy cachondo. Lo último que supe de él es que participó en uno de esos reality shows que le gustan tanto a la gente cotilla y sin sustancia. Nos dio su tarjeta personal, y nos dijo que estábamos invitados a cualquier concierto que Public Enemy diera en España en el futuro. La mujer del centro, mi esposa. I don´t like rap. Never have, and probably never will. But I must say FLAVOR FLAV was a true character. We met him in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) in two different places, in two different days. The last I know about him is that he took part in one of these reality shows that the brainless people with no life seem to enjoy so much. He gave us his personal card inviting us to any Spanish Public Enemy concert in the future. The woman in between, my wife.

La historia de cómo conocí a MICHAEL ANTHONY es muy larga, y sobre todo, muy difícil de creer como para ponerla aquí. Digamos que un día salí a trabajar (16 Junio, 1995), y acabé en un concierto en Barcelona conociendo a este mítico bajista de Van Halen, grupo del que soy muy fan. ¡Vean que contento estaba! Si se fijan en la mano de Michael verán el cd "Balance" que me firmó.

Telling the tale of how I got to meet MICHAEL ANTHONY from Van Halen would be too long and, specially, too hard to believe to be put here. Let´s just say that I went to work one day (June 16th, 95)., and ended up in a concert in Barcelona, meeting this very famous bass player. I was already a huge Van Halen fan. If you look closely you´ll see the copy of the "Balance" cd he signed to me. See how happy I look?



				Con GREG MACKINTOSH, guitarrista y cerebro de Paradise Lost (Madrid, 16 marzo, 2003). Ese día también conocí a todos los miembros de Within Temptation. Hubo buen rollito entre ambos, a pesar de que hayamos salido en la foto ambos con ese jeto. With GREG MACHINTOSH, guitar player and the brains behind Paradise Lost (Madrid, March 16th, `03). That day I also got to meet all the members of Within Temptation.We hit it off really well, even though our faces seem to point otherwise.

Aquí estoy con STEVE VAN ZANDT, alias "LITTLE STEVEN". ¿Recuerdan lo que les dije un poco más arriba de la surrealista historia de cómo llegué a conocer a MICHAEL ANTHONY, de Van Halen? Pues esto es parte de la misma historia. Un tío muy cachondo. (16 Junio, 1995)

				Con BRUCE KULICK, guitarrista soso-mán que ha tocado (y muy bien, por cierto) con KISS durante muchos años. Este hombre llegó a interpretar los solos de Ace Frehley mejor que el propio Ace Frehley, aunque de carisma, ya digo, iba justito el pobre...La foto esta tomada al término de un pelotudo concierto de su nuevo grupo, Union (Madrid, 2 Diciembre 05). With BRUCE KULICK. This guy spent quite some years with KISS, and he ended up doing Ace Frehley´s solos much better than Ace himself. The picture was taken after a kick ass show he gave with his band, Union (Madrid, March 16th, `03).

Simpática iinstantanea tomada al término del primer concierto de Morningwood en Madrid. Este grupo es de Nueva York y suenan un poco como a los Blondie de la primera época. La amiga Chantal, por cierto, está como una chota, aunque cuando se baja del escenario parece que se calma un poco. (31 Mayo, 2006)

Here is a nice picture, taken after Morningwood´s first gig in Madrid. This NYC band sound a little bit like early Blondie. Chantal is quite a tornado to see onstage, but she seems to relax when she is not performing, fortunately. (May 31st, 06).

26. Sept. 09: La forma en que conocí a THE CULT, una de mis 5 bandas favoritas, fue un poco decepcionante. Para empezar, fue pagando (por medio de una entrada "Meet & Greet" en un concierto en Madrid). Luego se nos metió en los camerinos (o algo así) como borregos de 5 en cinco,y rapidito. Unas firmas, y que pasen los siguientes.

Sep. 26th, `09: It was kind of dissapointing the way I met THE CULT, one of my 5 all-time favorite bands. I had to pay for an aftershow "Meet & greet" ticket in Madrid. We were taken to the dressing room (or something like it) in groups of 5, pretty much like sheep, when we were given an autograph, and off we go. Enter the next five!
